Obama Unveils his '57 State Strategy'

The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder writes: (via Hot Air and Instapundit)

... if John McCain did this -- if he mistakenly said he'd visited 57 states -- the media would be all up in his grill, accusing him of a senior moment.

Personally, I don't think it was a 'tired mistake' as much as this is just how Chicago Democrats are used to counting during elections and election campaigns...

Obama has accidentally let on to the DNC's secret plan for dominating American politics forever. See, now that they have control of Congress they're going to declare KoS a US territory and then divide it up into 7 virtual states. That gives them an automatic 14 Senators and a dozen or so Representatives...

Actually, he seems to be implying there are 60 states. The 57 he's been to, the one he hasn't made it to yet, and Alaska and Hawaii. I think his press posse should be quizzed about those other 10 states. They were obviously there too.

If he is too "tired" or lame or stoned NOW during campaign season, I fear what would happen if this arrogant bonehead made it to the WH. Thankfully, that will NEVER happen. Too many Dems think he would be far worse than McCain.
If the DNC elite push this guy on us, we will LOSE IN THE GE.

Actually, Obama thinks there are 60 states. He says he's visited 57, and has one more to see, and that his staff prevents him from visiting Hawaii and Alaska.

You Friken Rogers you talked about mexican and yet you each at restaurants that the food are made by mexicans, you use landscape companies that are own my mexicans, you buy houses that are made by mexicans. I guess he's been to some Mexican states looking for voters and got them mixed up.

But really, even if you are funtioning at frog level, you should never mix up something that fundamental. And it doesn't look like he caught the mistake himself. I suspect that Obama's elite education has allowed him to remain ignorant of basic info about the US, and I doubt that he missed any classes about how racist this country is. Obama doesn't spontaneously salute the flag and he states clearly that he thinks FDR talked with his enemies. Me, I havn't thought about it for a very long time, but I know for a fact that FDR never spoke with Hitler, Tojo, or Mussolini. I can't see how anyone can be a decent president and be so ingnorant of American history and/or questionably patriotic. Obama is totally unqualified.

Recently Obama said McCain was "losing his bearings."
Seems to many that if he cannot keep track of how many states there are (and NO he was not joking when he said that), then perhaps it is he who has "bearings" issues!
McCain's age will be fodder for the leftists who never talk disparagingly about anyone, while the attack anyone who mentions Barack's histrionic socialist background & the Marxists who counseled him in his youth & beyond.

I agree with you completely, Obama has been given a pass on his Muslim upbringing and tacit support of Louis Farraknhan through his and Rev Wright's church. Perhaps Iran has a "Manchurian (Muslim) Candidate" in our Presidential Election?

and the reason bush and mccain tend to be treated differently when they "misspeak" is because nobody is ever sure whether they really know what they're talking about. nobody actually thinks obama doesn't know how many states there are, but bush? eh, maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't.
