It made me think, this morning, when Mike Barnical asked John Ridley and another African American guest on the television news show: "Tell me how do yo feel now that it appears that an African American will be nominated to run for President?
One of Mike Barnical's guest said that he would cry and John Ridley mentioned women and other minorities.
Then, the implications of Mike Barnical's question hit me like a ton of bricks. Barack Obama is also half white, raised in a white household, and every ancestor that he can point to, in this country is white.
Barack Obama represents the best of both races and we should all be proud of him. It appears that Blacks embrace Obama because of the African blood that runs through his vains,and most whites are oblivious to the fact that Obama is also a white man.
I have a question for Mike Barnical. The question is: Mike, how do you feel; now, that a white man will be running president? That question is just as absurd as your question; because Obama is biracial, and you should also be proud that some one who shares your blood will be nominated. How do feel about it Mike Barnical?
