Thanks for doing the distasteful work most Americans refuse to do.
BTW I heard Newt Gingrich suggest today that if Obama (or HRC to the extent she's still relevant) were truly agents of "Change" they would oppose their own interest groups where it would be in the best interest of the people they purport to represent, i.e. the poor, minorities, children. One good example of change for a Democrat President would be to oppose the teachers' unions position against vouchers for poor kids. But nobody expects that kind of change -- the productive kind. .
These two candidates have such contempt for the intelligence of the voters, it boggles the mind.
"Why do I always get the first question? Corporations bad. Free trade bad. War bad... I'm a fighter. Fight, fight, fighting. Farrakhan might be a bad guy. Okay, he's a bad guy." Jesus Christ ... who's dumb enough to buy this shit?
"Jesus Christ ... who's dumb enough to buy this shit?"
A LOT of people, unfortunately. Especially the 30-and-unders who get most of their 'news' from the likes of Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Hollywood, etc. All of the ones I work with parrot their talking points ad nauseum although they probably couldn't name the Secretary of State or one person on the Supreme Court. Then they look at you like you're the dumb one for not 'getting it'.
The first time I saw Obama all I could think was he's just the v2.0 Deval Patrick spouting the same vapid nonsense - take a look at MA and shudder because people really like happy talk. It's a coalition of race guilt ridden liberals, hardcore moonbats and Xanax addicted no nothings that make him a lock in the Blue states. The sad thing is it might just be enough to win.
I see my comment didn't make the edit list. I'm not surprised. Those that can do, those that can't write blogs.
Only the "30 and unders" are buying this shit? Yeah. Right.
I was in Albuquerque last week and, trust me, there are plenty of middle aged and older moonbats out there and elsewhere who are eating this crap like it was good candy. I have seen interview after interview with middle aged and older blue collar dinner bucket carriers who are convinced, I mean CONVINCED, that both Hillary and Barack possess within them the keys to the promised land of higher wages for less work, free health care for everybody, cancer free cigarettes, low fat french fries, and world-wide peace in our time. Now, if only they could figure out which one of these two Messiahs could beat McCain.... |
