Glenn Reynolds notes that congressional approval ratings are still below those of George Bush.
However, he writes in an update that the latest AP/Ipsos poll has
Congress' approval rating at 40%. (pdf file)
It might be useful to point out that in its last poll before the 2006 mid-terms, AP/Ipsos had the Dems leading the Repubs by 19 points in its generic congressional poll. (The link to this has disappeared for some reason, but here is

Since the Dems won the aggregate 2006 congressional vote by about eight points, AP/Ipsos missed that one by 11 points.
It's useful information to have when evaluating the accuracy of the AP/Ipsos poll.
