Carlos Santana's version of "Let's hold hands and sing
Kumbaya" sounds a bit different from the version that
Sharon Stone was speaking of yesterday, but it was nonetheless "Let's hold and hands and sing
Kumbaya."
From an AP report on Mr. Santana:
"I have wisdom. I feel love. I live in the present and I try to present a dimension that brings harmony and healing," the 58-year-old rock icon said. "My concept is the opposite of George W. Bush."
...
"There is more value in placing a flower in a rifle barrel than making war," he said. "As Jimi Hendrix used to say, musical notes have more importance than bullets."
Of course musical notes may come in handy when the other side isn't firing bullets at you to begin with, but ya know... why get mired in detail?
As Ms. Stone, who was quoted in yesterday's
Agence France-Presse report, might say:
"We can choose to have this alternative kind of growth that is a collective nuance of understanding." (emphasis added)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm all for a "collective nuance of understanding" ... especially when Sharon Stone says it.
I feel certain that once it is explained to the Islamofascists that oppose us, they will also be for a "collective nuance of understanding"....
Update:
Betsy Newmark has some thoughts on Santana and Stone as well.
