About Us
Tom Elia
Chicago native Tom Elia, a writer now living in Austin, Texas, formerly covered the
aerospace and defense industry for Hoover's Online; he has also served as an advisor
for a number of political campaigns in Texas. His work has appeared in many
publications, including the
Houston Chronicle, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Austin
American-Statesman
, the Manchester Union Leader, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review,
FrontPage Magazine, and elsewhere.

Obsessed with a green patch of land on Chicago's North Side bordered by Addison,
Clark, Shefield, and Waveland, Elia is convinced that the aberrant dearth of pennants
will end once the spirited Butkus is placed on the roster. Meanwhile, he bides his time,
patiently waiting for the pieces to fall into place.

Paul Geary
A consultant based in Boston, Massachusetts and Austin, Texas, Paul Geary is Vice
President of Communication for Massachusetts-based consulting firm MBAteam, and
teaches government at Austin Community College.

Previously, Geary was a senior editor at Hoover's Online. He has worked as an
independent political consultant in campaigns for the US House, Senate, and
Massachusetts state Attorney General, among others. He has also hosted a Boston-area
morning-drive-time political talk show, and appeared on Boston television as a political
analyst. Geary has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and a
Master's Degree in Political Science from Northeastern University.

In the past in his spare time, Geary chose to punish himself by rooting for the Boston
Red Sox. After the 2004 World Championship season, he now believes it was well
worth it.

David Rogers
A lawyer living in Austin, Texas with his wife and son, David Rogers has been an
advisor to many political campaigns in Texas and Virginia. Rogers has a B.A. from the
University of Houston, a Master’s Degree in Film from USC, and a J.D. from Texas
Tech University. He has published many pieces in publications including the
Houston
Chronicle
, the Texas Lawyer, the (New Jersey) Bergen Record, the Pittsburgh Tribune-
Review
, the Manchester Union Leader, and the Washington Times.

Though he was in the stands for the first-ever MLB playoff game in Arlington, Texas,
he is not currently afflicted with the Major League Baseball bug.
